Interior Art Collection for Mid-Century Modern Home

This mid-century modern renovation in Southeast Portland called for a collection that honored the home's 1953 origins without recreating a period interior. Working closely with the homeowners, we built something that bridges decades: bold abstraction, typography, sculpture, geometric woodwork, and custom commissions sitting alongside architecture that's held its own for 70 years.

We sourced work that complemented the home's bones while bringing in color, texture, and personality room by room. The project extended beyond the walls too. A local artisan fabricated a bench from reclaimed skateboards, a piece that fits the family's lifestyle and the home's sense of humor as much as it fits the space.

The collection feels like it accumulated naturally, which is exactly the point.
