Wheat Paste Installation
queens, new yorkTriple Threat, Jordan Brand, Extra Butter, and artist Nina Chanel teamed up on this community installation to spotlight young artists in Queens, New York. It started as a youth workshop: students turned their own artwork into a large-scale public installation for the launch of Nina Chanel's Super Cool Studios collection.
Working from Nina's signature collage style, the kids experimented with color, layering, and visual storytelling before watching their work get blown up into a wheat paste installation covering the exterior of Extra Butter. For a group of emerging artists, seeing their ideas at architectural scale, in one of the world's creative capitals, doesn't happen often.
The project combined education, mentorship, and public art. For the kids involved, it meant something simple: their ideas were worth putting on a wall for the whole city to see.
